These
stamps are quite detailed so it's worth investing in good quality card stock and a good quality ink pad. We recommend
Creative Smooth White Card for it's superior finish and quality.
Momento Ink Pads deliver finer impressions and exceptionally even coverage. A black ink pad can bee too dark for a lot of projects so we've used the
London Fog shade for this one.
Make sure you
acrylic block is large enough to cover your entire stamp. This image measures about 3 inches by 4.5 inches so we used the Papermania
4" x 5.25" Acrylic Block. For more detailed images always use a
matt under your card stock. This gives the surface a little "give" resulting in a finer impression.
Use a
die cutter to cut a
Doorplate shape the right size for your stamp. Stick your clear rubber stamp onto the acrylic block and ink it evenly with a grey ink pad. Press the block and stamp onto the card stock press it down evenly and firmly to ensure even coverage. Carefully remove the block and stamp to avoid smudging your image.
Colour your image with your preferred colouring medium. This card has been coloured with
brush pens which have first been applied to a non-porous surface such as an old CD then the colour has been picked up with a damp
paint brush and applied to the card.
The
Doorplate die has been used as a stencil to draw round and cut out a slightly larger
Doorplate shape from
Amazon Card stock. The stamped image has been stuck to this matt with
double sided tape.
For the card itself cut a sheet of
Amazon Card stock to 14cm square. Cut a sheet of green
Hot Diggity Dog paper to 13.7cm square. Run the edges along the surface of a
green ink pad. Stick the paper to the card stock using
double sided tape.
Cut a sheet of
Capsule Collection Burleigh Blue Paperazzi to 6.5cm x 11cm. Cut a slightly smaller sheet of blue dotty
Hot Diggity Dog paper 6.2cm x 10.7cm. Stick them together with
double sided tape. Stick a short length of
Burleigh Blue Daisy Chain about 2cm from the bottom of the panel. Onto this stick a
Hot Diggity Dog blue border from the die cut sheet included with the paper pack. Stick the blue panel to the left hand side of the card panel.
Stick the Doorplate shape to the top right hand side of the card panel at a slight angle. Pop a little round embellishment from the
Hot Diggity Dog die cut sheet and use
3D foam pads to stick it to the top right hand corner of the card panel.
Complete your card with a
Hot Diggity Dog greeting panel mounted onto a scrap of
Amazon Card stock stuck tot he bottom right hand corner of the card panel. Use
PVA glue to add a couple of
gems to the blue panel as shown.
Use double sided tape to stick you completed card panel onto a
14.4cm square card blank.
